Institutional Regulations

The University regulations are determined by the Organic Statute and Institutional Rules.

Organic Statute

The Organic Statute of the University of Costa Rica constitutes the institutional regulations and determines the University’s principles and purposes, its structure and government as well as its education system, administrative regime and the Alma Mater’s general provisions.

Institutional Regulations

Institutional Regulations include all regulations, standards, agreements and current administrative, teaching, student or organizational guidelines governing the whole institution or certain Regional Campuses, Branch Campuses, Vice Rectories, Academic Units, Centers, Institutes, Offices or Institutional Programs specifically.

The University Council provides the community with an online inquiry system where all information referring to University Regulations is available.
